At Growing Tree Montessori Preschool, our Nest program allows children the freedom of movement, in a warm and nurturing environment, so that they may develop at their own pace. Infants and Toddlers in our Montessori program are introduced to using regular cups, spoons, wooden Montessori designed toys, learn to diaper either laying down or standing up (when they are ready), and taught simple sign language as a method for communication.
In our program, you’ll find that our rooms are equipped with soft floor mats, mirrors for self-discovery, small ramps and child sized stair cases, photography at child’s eye level, mobiles, toys for grasping, carts to push, soft music in the background, and songs and instruments used throughout the day.
